Our Story

A family story

At Hotel Bramante, hospitality is not just a business, it’s a family tradition that has been passed down through three generations.

It all began in the late 1970s when our father, Francesco Montori, had a vision of transforming a former Franciscan monastery from the 12th century into a beautiful hotel, just a stone’s throw away from the stunning Temple of Consolation in Todi. After a laborious restoration, the hotel opened its doors on February 23, 1982. Over the years, we have continued to expand and enhance the hotel, adding a panoramic outdoor pool, a tennis/football court, a new wing with rooms, a Congress Center, and a wellness area.

Over the years, the artist Meg Roberts has studied and re- roposed medieval-style designs in various corners of the Residence and curated the restyling of the furnishings of various rooms and environments. The result is a unique work of art in perfect harmony with the historical origins of the House and the greenery that surrounds it.

Today, we are proud to carry on our family’s legacy and welcome guests to our hotel. Francesco’s children and grandchildren run the hotel, and we strive to provide a warm and welcoming experience to all who visit. We invite you to become a part of our story and discover the beauty and history of Todi through our hotel.
